For the first time ever, I'm offering a Training of Trainers for Sam School!
I've been asked by a number of people if they can use the 'Sam' book and methods to lead their own sessions. And now you can! Bring this powerful inner critic work to your own organization or community, to support others in shifting their inner narratives towards confidence. Learn to lead your own sessions of "Sam School" using "Everyone Has a Sam" and new tools and exercises that I've developed.
You'll receive facilitator's agendas, a manual with FAQ, exercises for the workshops, and slide deck. You'll learn how to deliver each part of the content, and we'll have ample practice time with feedback. You'll even get to deliver a session at a time of your choosing, and debrief with me after. Graduates of this program will be licensed to teach Sam School in their communities and listed on this site as facilitators.*
This program offers both in-depth training and practice in teaching the 'Sam' material, as well as space for your own inner reflection and deepening of your personal inner critic work.

Course Overview:
As I aim to model present, in-the-moment facilitation, we will be listening to what wants to emerge among the group as we explore together. So we'll be learning from the 'field' that we co-create, rather than simply following a standard curriculum. Consider yourself a co-creator and a discoverer of wisdom, rather than a repository of knowledge from outside. So, this is to say: all of the below is subject to change. As are WE!
October 15 - 2 hrs
Session 1: Workshop Overview & Initial Practice Session: We’ll review the goals and key elements of the workshop. Participants will watch a full model workshop, with feeze-frame Q&A about facilitation. We will review the facilitation agenda and guides, and begin to prepare for practice.
Oct 20 - 4 hrs:
Session 2: Working Your Own Critic As a Facilitator: How does your critic appear when in front of a group offering new material? How will you use it as an ally rather than a distractor? Participants will examine and gain practice in working with their own inner messaging, in order to both unleash their facilitation and be better able to provide experiential responses to participant questions. We'll also practice the introduction and framing for the workshop, and receive real-time feedback.
& Session 3: In-Depth Practice: Participants will practice sections of the workshop and receive real-time feedback on their facilitation. After this session, participants will prepare on their own with a partner and schedule a co-facilitated practice workshop with their community sometime in the next few weeks.
Oct 27 - 4 hrs:
Session 4: Holding Trauma-Informed, Shame-Lifting Presence: As a group, we will discuss challenges that arise and how to address them, and role-play how to respond in the moment in potentially challenging situations. We’ll also prepare together for the practice workshops.
& Session 5: Understanding the Loving Origins of Your Own Critic: Participants will role-play their own critic and explore its origins, getting a powerful dose of the intention, love, and care with which the critic was created. Feeling this experientially offers a new felt sense from which to teach, as well as new personal perspectives. Additionally, we’ll explore several new follow-on exercises to support participants after the initial introductory workshop. We'll close with next steps and appreciations, and send everyone off to conduct practice workshops.
One Month Later - 90 min:
Session 6: Coaching Leadership Challenges: We’ll debrief the practice workshops, coach one another on challenges that arose, and plan for how to carry this forward. We’ll have some time for additional practice or role-play as needed, and/or for reviewing additional exercises.
